XenoGuard Requirements

XenoGuard requires about 410 MB on your hard disk. For the logging data and the workspaces, different disk space is needed depending on your use case.

Recommended Hardware

XenoGuard Basic + Plus Intel Core i5+ or equivalent, 2.3+ GHz 8 GB 250 GB (HDD)
XenoGuard Premium Intel Core i7+ or equivalent, 3.0+ GHz 8 GB 1000 GB (preferably SSD)

  • Windows 10 (64 bit)
  • Windows 7 (64 bit)

Additional Software

To make XenoGuard work on your machine, you need to download and install:

      • .NET Framework 4.8
      • Visual C++ Redistributable

To develop your own actions with C# you will need:

      • Visual Studio 2019/2022 (XenoGuard Plus or Premium required)

Optional Software

If you want to work with Microsoft Access databases, then you need either Microsoft Office (64bit) including Microsoft Access or alternatively Microsoft Access Runtime (64bit). You cannot use the 32bit version.

Access Rights

You will need admin-level access rights on the following occassions:

    • when installing XenoGuard
    • when XenoGuard will try to run other applications
    • when accessing different hardware (like camera)
