FAQ: Purchase Subscriptions, Upgrades and Renewals

Thank you for your interest in XenoGuard!

You can compare XenoGuard product subscriptions and choose the one that best suits your business needs by visiting our Buy page.

The page compares three product variants: Basic, Plus, and Premium. You can add a product to your shopping cart by clicking on the ADD TO CART button in the header of the table.

If you are interested in more XenoGuard extensions, you can find them below the comparison table. Click on the title of an extension to get more information about it. Extensions need to be added to the shopping cart separately.

Before placing your order, make sure you are logged in to your customer account with the same credentials you used for your past purchases. Your account can be managed in the top right corner.

Once you are logged in to our website, add products to your shopping cart as described in the previous question. If you are eligible for discounts based on your past orders, they will be automatically displayed in your shopping cart.

Click on the shopping cart icon to complete your order.

You can upgrade from a lower version to a higher one, for example, from XenoGuard Basic to XenoGuard Premium.

  • Please log in to your account using the same credentials as for purchasing the subscription you want to upgrade.
  • Activate the Upgrades & Renewals tab on the purchase page.
  • The page will automatically display all upgrade options.
  • Select the one you need.
  • Click the shopping cart icon to complete your order.

Important: The prerequisite for an upgrade is that the subscription has not yet expired - otherwise no upgrade is possible and you must purchase a new license.

  • Activate the Upgrades & Renewals tab on the purchase page.
  • The page will automatically display all upgrade options and the option for renewing an existing subscription.
  • Select the option you want.
  • Click on the shopping cart icon to complete your order.

You can pay:

  • by a credit card
  • via a Paypal account
  • by bank transfer (only possible within the European Union)

You can also choose between paying in US dollars or EUR. Please note that exchange rates are not updated daily, and different fees may apply depending on the country and bank you use for making your payment.

Yes, this is possible for our enterprise customers. However, please note that the license key will only be sent to you after we received the payment. Until then, the software will remain in a trial version and is subject to certain restrictions.

FAQ: Discounts

MycroTools offers the following discount rates. Your discount is calculated automatically when you add a certain amount of products to your cart:

Discount rates only apply if you buy the same product or product variant and do not apply if you mix different subscriptions.

For example, if you purchase a XenoGuard Basic license together with a XenoGuard Premium license, this won't qualify for a discount. However, if you purchase 2 XenoGuard Premium licenses, you will receive a 10% discount on the total purchase price.

You do not need to buy multiple subscriptions at once to receive your discount. As long as you keep your subscriptions active and decide to purchase additional licenses in the future, the discount will be applied to your new purchase.

FAQ: After Payment

After you purchase our product, you will receive a confirmation email and invoice in PDF format. The email will contain a download link for our software and a serial number that you can use to unlock it.

Generally, you will receive an email with a downloadable link. You can download our software manually in your XenoGuard account.

  • Sign in to your customer account on our website.
  • Navigate to My Downloads
  • You will see a list of licensed products available to you.
  • In the Latest version available to you column, expand a product entry.
  • You can select a version to download from the SELECT VERSION dropdown list.
  • Optionally: Click Change Logs to view the list of new features and fixed issues for the selected version.
  • When you select a version, our website automatically refreshes the page to show a list of all available installers.
  • Click the link of an installer you want to download.

That's it!

The primary product always takes precedence over a secondary product, in this case, the extension.

When your main product license expires, you can continue using XenoGuard but won't receive new updates. If the main product cannot be renewed due to an expired license, newer extensions cannot be loaded either, as they are not compatible. Once your purchased extension is no anymore compatible with your old XenoGuard version, the extension may stop working.

Please keep in mind that all software updates are always delivered in a single setup that includes the main product. Therefore, every new main product release by default means a new extension version.

Example: You have purchased a XenoGuard-Plus subscription that expires on 22/10/20. An extension was purchased two months later. The extension's subscription runs two months longer, i.e. until 22/12/20. A new XenoGuard version is released on 22/11/03, but you cannot install it because the subscription for the main product already ended. You will therefore not be able to use the newer extension since the extension gets updated but the main product does not.
