Empty Recycle Bin

The ActionStep Empty Recycle Bin frees up disk space by permanently deleting all files from the Windows Recycle Bin.

  1. Open the Windows node in the Workspace Explorer.
  2. Open the Operating System node.
  3. In the General node, select the Empty Recycle Bin ActionStep.

Parameters:

The ActionStep has no parameters that can be set or configured.


Warning Running Empty Recycle Bin ActionStep cannot be undone.

Example 1 (User confirms to empty Windows Recycle Bin):

This example asks the user if the Windows Recycle Bin will be emptied or not via Message Box. If the user response is "Yes", all of the files in the Windows Recycle Bin will be permanently deleted and a notice that the ActionStep has been executed in Speech Output under the "Then" branch is executed. Otherwise, the ActionStep in the "Else" branch is executed.
