ActionStep Reference » Windows » Network

With the Network group, you can perform ActionSteps that enable you to gather information on various network implementations and utilize a range of networking communication protocols, including SMTP, FTP, TCP, HTTP, and REST. It also supports data interchange formats such as REST and JSON.

The Network is divided into seven groups: 
  • General: Test remote host connection via IP address
  • FTP: Connect to an FTP server and manage its files and directories
  • TCP: Connect, send and retrieve data to and from a TCP server and/or a TCP client
  • HTTP: Download content from a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI)
  • REST: Connect to an external application or software that allows Application Programming Interface (API) request
  • JSON: Get, set, and parse JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) content
  • EMAIL: Send and receive email via Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
